Meet The Team

Stitched Up

Director & Bridal Seamstress

Stitched Up est.2008

In 2006 I studied Fashion Design at City College Coventry, after deciding University wasn’t for me I began working in a local sewing shop where I trained to be a seamstress.

Stitched Up began trading in 2008 from a purpose built workroom in my parents garden where I contracted work from several local businesses.

In 2012 I took time out to have my son Tom. He is now 7. You’ll often find him doing his best dance moves in the shop window or playing hide & seek in the fitting rooms! He is Stitched Ups number one fan and youngest trainee tailor.

Word of mouth alone built Stitched Up to outgrow the space I had working from home. So, in June 2015 Stitched Up opened in Kenilworth.

I specialise in bridal alterations and am lucky enough to work alongside some beautiful Warwickshire bridal shops; Sammie Lou Bridal Couture, Victoria Lou Bridal, Coco & Kate, Lavelle Bridal.

Thank you so very much for supporting a local business.

Stitched Up Head Seamstress

Emma studied Fashion Design at City College Coventry for two years back in 2006. She went on to graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Fashion Design & Technology.

Emma has a wealth of knowledge from working within the Fashion Industry, her previous job roles include: Visual Merchandiser, Ladies Knitwear Design Assistant, Womenswear Design Assistant & Team Manager.

What Emma doesn't know about garment construction really isn't worth knowing.

Somewhere within all this madness Emma took the opportunity to spend a year travelling around Australasia and South East Asia exploring new cultures.

Momma Sue

Our Ultimate Hero

As you've probably guessed - Momma Sue is Gemmas mum!

She takes care of all things important. Paper work, spreadsheets, scary sales name it & shes rescuing Gemma from it!

Bridal Seamstress

Ellie has recently completed her Fashion degree at Coventry University with a First.

A love of all things textiles, sewing and crafts inspired her to undertake this degree. She has been sewing since she started secondary school and has previously worked in a fabric and haberdashery shop.

As part of her degree, Ellie undertook a placement year in industry, interning in London with brands Orla Kiely and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, where she took the incredible opportunity to help out backstage at London Fashion Week...twice!

*Please be patient while the rest of the team chose their favourite pictures of themselves! ;) *
